Good morning all! We are back in the freezer here in Michigan! Temperatures are in the 30’s. Brrr! Eventually it will stay warm here. I have been having some hand pain recently which I am sure is caused by crocheting too much 😦 So I pulled out my looms and started working on some Hexipuffs. I am using the Hexigonal Geopuff pattern from loomlady the pattern is in the sidebar. Until yesterday I had made all of them on the flower loom called for in the pattern. I decided to try them on a Kiss Loom

The loom I used has 24 pegs and I made it according to the pattern I marked every 4th peg and just knit the extra stitches. I really like the way it turned out! It feels a little softer and squishier and is slightly larger than the ones on the flower loom.

I still want to make a blanket out of these I guess I should work on them more often. My little pile above has 28 in it! Not very many since I started these a year ago. Ya’ll have a great day!

I finally finished the Hex Totebag It was a fun project! I changed directions with colors and decided that I liked the blue, yellow, purple combo so much that thats what I would use for the whole bag. I think it turned out pretty, what do you think?

Here’s the inside, I know the lining looks wrinkly but it really isn’t, it is not easy to take a pic of the inside of a bag by yourself

Ya’ll have a great weekend!

Hi all thought I would update ya’ll on my progress on the Hex Totebag Because of being distracted by Bunnies and Birdies I’ve only got 16 hex’s done. Here they are

I should be able to finish the rest of them this week, I need 10 more whole ones and 4 half ones as soon as I get them finished I’ll be ready for the 4th round and joining as I go, wish me luck on that! I’ve never done the join as you go before.
Small rant I apologize to anyone that got updates on my blog that are not there! I find WordPress to be somewhat difficult to use and can’t seem to do what I want! I’ll keep trying though! Ya’ll have a great evening!

Hi all, well it’s another gray, cold day here in SW Michigan. Currently it is 36 degrees and is not supposed to warm up until Thursday. I am so tired of cold and gray, so I’ve been looking around on the internet for some brightness and found a bit in crochet Attic 24 I love her blog always something bright and pretty to cheer you up. I also found some at meme-rose I just love all the grannies here. I found the hex totebag at futuregirl and decided it was just what I was looking for an easy project that is bright and cheery. I went stash diving and a trip to Walmart and this is what I found:

The yarns are in a wine bottle bag from HEB grocery store in Austin, TX. Here’s what they are

I am using a size F crochet hook and I am liking them so far. Here are the first few with 3 rounds done, my 4th round is going to be ivory and I am going to join them as I go.

I am also going to be good and weave in the ends as I go, cuz I hate having hundreds to deal with at the end. Ya’ll have a great Sunday afternoon!
Oops I almost forgot a link to the pattern page hex totebag
The pattern is actually a 6 part video CAL.
