Hi all, hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July! Mine was pretty good I had the pleasure of relaxing with my crochet and loom knitting pretty much all day! I worked on my Tunisian Wingspan, I am on triangle 6 only 2 more to go! I also worked on some more hexipuffs, I got 4 more done and I wound 20 balls of yarn in preparation for a Granny Blanket, I really want one for my queen size bed just not sure I will stick with it. It was a really nice day to just relax and do what I wanted, in the evening we made steak, baked potatoes and corn on the cob all cooked on the grill and Rob set off some very loud fireworks! Recently I completed a loomed jar cover, a hot water bottle cover and a pair of slippers.

Hi all, Happy Memorial Day! First I want say THANKYOU to all who serve/have served in the Military. My oldest son Nicholas is in the Army and I am very proud of him.
Are ya’ll having a good long weekend? I am, I took Friday off, so mine has been a bit longer. I spent the day going to yard sales with Crystal and Samantha and boy did I score! I found this lovely vintage cabinet for $10.00! I love it! It has already found a home in my house.
Saturday I spent the day at Tim’s helping the kids have a yard sale, mostly I just sat in the chair and loom knit in between collecting money and got sun burnt ! It was pretty cool all day. I was working on more Hexipuffs, they make a great take along project! These are all the puffs I made over the last week:
I’ve been playing a bit with changing the colors in them, I think I like the pink/ gray one best. What do you think? I changed color each round except on rows 8,9 and 10, I think it turned out real pretty.
Yesterday I spent a lazy day loom knitting and watching movies. I was working on more Mason Jar Covers. I am going to be doing a class on them over in Loom Class http://groups.yahoo.com/group/LoomClass/ from June 3-15, you need to be a member to participate. They have been fun to work up. We had steak and potatoes cooked on the grill for supper, yum!
Today has been more loom knitting, movie watching and some pattern writing. It is cool and rainy here today so I don’t mind being inside. Rob and I made breakfast burritos this morning, yummy they are great for grab and go during the week cuz it is back to work tomorrow 😦 ya’ll have a great rest of the day! Angel

Good morning all, I had a very busy week so not much time for blog or crochet. I did get a little crochet in I have 2 main projects that I am working on a granny square pillow the pattern is from Sarah London’s book Granny Square Love. (I have the Kindle version) Also a tablerunner of my own design it was inspired by this afghan http://appleblossomdreams.blogspot.com/2012/10/rockman-afghan-cal-week-1.html
I am also working on the WoolEater Motif CAL,http://sarahlondon.wordpress.com/2013/04/17/wool-eater-motif-cal-2013/ I just managed to get 3 motifs completed, I’ll post pictures on Wednesday.
I did complete 1 project, the owl hotpad I made for my daughter and it has been delivered.
I used this pattern http://www.etsy.com/listing/90970702/crochet-pattern-owl-obsession-a-colorful?ref=sr_gallery_6&ga_search_query=owl+obsession&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=US&ga_ref=auto1&ga_search_type=all&ga_facet=owl+obsession that I purchased on Etsy. I made 1 owl block and 1 circle block and joined them together using this method http://whiskersandwool.blogspot.com/2010/07/two-color-border-tutorial.html
I was pleased with how it turned out. The owls on the wall are what inspired me to make it! Ya’ll have a great weekend.

Hello all it is a beautiful warm (69 F ) day here in SW Michigan! It is the first day it has been warm enough for me to be outside and I have a neighbor ruining it! Someone that lives behind us is having target practice with a loud and annoying gun! ( we live in the country so it is legal ) Weezer will not set a paw off the back steps when shooting is going on, he’s hiding behind the couch right now! I was going to sit outside and crochet but the gunshots interfered with my concentration. I’ve mostly been piddling around with it today anyway. This is what I’ve accomplished:
The little round flower is called granny in the middle and is from Diva Stitches
The little square block is called a squircle and is from Dly’s Hooks and Yarn
The little brown owl is part of the Owl Obsession blanket pattern and is available for purchase on
Etsy
The owl is what I am planning to use fo Crystal’s hotpads, but I am not real happy with the way it is working up. I bought fresh flowers this morning:
aren’t they pretty. They make me smile! Ya’ll have a great weekend!

Hi all, it’s finally Friday! I had 4 new babies at work this week so it made for a long one! (I am an infant lead teacher in a day care center) I do have a couple of finished items to share. A pretty granny square tissue box cover
I used scraps of Red Heart super Saver to make it, not sure I like the red in it!
I also made some Birdie decortions from Attic24
I only got a picture of one but I made 3 and took 2 of them to my MIL on Easter. I have this one hanging from a ceiling fan. I plan to make several more when I have more time.

Hi all, hope everyone is having a great week! Mine is going okay, my back is feeling a bit better after the babying it got on Monday. On Monday I found this cute little bunny from a link on
Attic24
Isn’t it adorable, I had to make one for Molly and Chloe
The pattern is available here at the green dragonfly
I think it is adorable, I finished this one last night, it really didn’t take long and I will be making one more before Easter, no time today as I had an appointment right after work which interfered with my hooking time, don’t you hate it when that happens? Ya’ll have a great rest of the week!

Samantha’s wedding was really lovely and she was a beautiful bride. Crystal was a beautifull Matron of Honor and Molly a pretty Little flower girl. Rob was a proud Father and her brother Timothy an usher. Somehow or other I did not get a photo of the bride and groom.
Unfortunately her brother Nicholas and his family were not able to come from Hawaii, way to expensive.

Hi all it has been a while since I posted but things are finally getting back to normal around here after my sisters death and a 3 week illness. I was not doing to much for a while. I finally got busy a few weeks ago and managed to loom a couple of things for my exchange partner in the Gettin it Pegged
Spring Package in the Post exchange, I sent my partner Brenda Myers a loomed Bunnies in the Grass Dishcloth and a matching mug cozy using 2 of Brenda’s patterns info on the patterns can be found on her blog Loom Lore. I also included a matching coast that I crocheted.
I was Pam Barr’s partner
I recieved a beautiful knit dishcloth made by Pam’s daughter Angela and a face cloth and 2 soap bags loomed by Pam, they are all in pretty bright colors.
Today I received a dishcloth, hotpad and towel topper from Jean Bernard in the dishcloth exchange at the At my House yahoo group
I am saving this set for when my company arrives next month for the wedding.
Also joined a group on Ravelry called Granny a Day CAL, I joined a bit late but am having fun with it. I joined on April 28 and as of today I have 18 squares complete that puts me ahead by 4 squares, I only need to do 247 by the end of the year to have done 1 a day since joining the group. The square I am making is called Summer Garden and can be found at
Attic24
I think they look like little bright flowers
I really like the Attic24 blog she has created some really pretty items, I also started her Crocheted Bag I am on row 12 of the bottom of the bag, this is a photo with just a few rows done.
I will be updating the hexipuff page tomorrow afternoon. Ya’ll have a great week and a very Happy Mother’s Day!

Hi all and Happy Valentines, things have been so busy recently I have barely
had time to do much of any thing, but I have managed to complete a few things. Mr. Wobbles the Penguin was made during a LAL over at GettinitPegged Â
Isn’t he cute! I just love Bethany’s
patterns they are always easy to read and follow.
I have also been doing a little crochet I made this little tape measure cover
It is my own design but basically I just crocheted 2 circles and than single crocheted them together instering the tape measure when it was about halfway together.
I even did a bit of holiday crochet this cute little Amigurumi Heart using a free pattern from Red Heart.

I spent this afternoon loom knitting the Hotlips Tawashi shown at the top of the page. the pattern is from Brenda Meyers at LoomLore she has such great loom patterns I love most everything she designs.
I am also working on a pair of loomknit slippers being taught by Kelly Jones over in Loom Class. It is a very nice pattern 1 slipper is finished and I am about halfway thru the second.
Thats about all the crafting I have been up to lately. Rob and I celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary yesterday. We went to a wine and fondue tasting at a place called Tempo Vino Winery in downtown Kalamazoo. It was fun and interesting.
