Hi all, I hope everyone had a great long weekend! Mine has been very relaxing and lazy. I did manage to complete the Tunisian Crochet Wingspan Shawl I was working on, I started it back in May using the loom knit version, this is my post about it. It was turning out way smaller than I wanted it to so I frogged it and started over with different yarn. I finished it today! I handwashed it, dryed it till just damp in the dryer and blocked it on my bed
after I took it off the bed the corners were curling a bit
I was real happy with that, so I steamed each triangle and now they don’t curl!
Crystal doesn’t look very happy, she stopped by and I snagged her to be my model! I love the shawl, I think it is pretty and it was so fun to make! Headed to my son’s for dinner. Ya’ll have a great evening.

It’s really pretty! I didn’t know there was a Tunesian version. Thanks for sharing that.
Looks like you and I are making several projects the same. As soon as I finish this scarf I’m ready to go with a needle knit Wingspan. Yarn, needles and pattern are all rounded up and waiting.
Still doing hexies.

Thanks Marilou. Have you tried the loom knit version yet? I am still making hexis also, think I made 4 last week.

No I have not tried the loom knit version. I didn’t take the class. I have been kicking myself since. I love the shawl. When I saw that the needle version “may be the easiest thing you ever knit” I thought I’d give that a try.

I didn’t take the class either, I am going to make another one on the loom just need to decide what yarn to use. I am so slow at needle knitting that I don’t do it much anymore.

I give new meaning to slow. The scarf I’m knitting now is my first needle knit project. Maybe I should stick to the loom. The scarf started with 25 stitches cast on. Now I mysteriously have 29 stitches!
