Vintage Popcorn Square

Posted on: March 25, 2013

This morning I woke up with a sore back but I went to work anyway. Turns out we had extra people so I got to leave after about 3 hours, wow I get some time to play! by this time my back was really hurting so when I got home I took some ibuprofen and sat down in my recliner with a heating pad on my back. Instead of working on something in progress I decided to try out this vintage popcorn square from meme-rose blog.
The afghan made out of this is absolutely beautiful be sure and scroll down to see it. Here’s my square

I still think the square is very pretty but I’m not sure I will ever make it again becuse it took so long!
Almost 3 hours, wow it would take forever to make an afghan! But I still think the afghan is beautiful.
My back is feeling a bit better hopefully it will continue to improve.

I figure there is a doll around that could use a small blankie. The square is really pretty. Thanks for the blog link too.
Feel better!

Marilou, thank you. I probably can find a doll to cover with it. My back feels much better this morningI think the heat therapy and rest helped alot.

I love you vintage popcorn square. Lovely colours too. You wouldn’t happen to still have the pattern, would you? Unfortunately It is no longer on Meme-Rose blog. I note your comments on how long it took to Crockett this square, but I am retired now and would like to make a small rug. I love textured crochet patterns. Also do you have any instruction for how to join the squares. I notice that it doesn’t hand sooth edges. Doesn’t look straight forward to me. Hope you can help me.

We are swedish but have also lived in Brazil and USA. Almost every morning, year around, I go for a walk in the great outdoors, planning my day.
