Granny’s and Exchanges

Posted on: May 12, 2012

Hi all it has been a while since I posted but things are finally getting back to normal around here after my sisters death and a 3 week illness. I was not doing to much for a while. I finally got busy a few weeks ago and managed to loom a couple of things for my exchange partner in the Gettin it Pegged
Spring Package in the Post exchange, I sent my partner Brenda Myers a loomed Bunnies in the Grass Dishcloth and a matching mug cozy using 2 of Brenda’s patterns info on the patterns can be found on her blog Loom Lore. I also included a matching coast that I crocheted.

I was Pam Barr’s partner
I recieved a beautiful knit dishcloth made by Pam’s daughter Angela and a face cloth and 2 soap bags loomed by Pam, they are all in pretty bright colors.

Today I received a dishcloth, hotpad and towel topper from Jean Bernard in the dishcloth exchange at the At my House yahoo group

I am saving this set for when my company arrives next month for the wedding.

Also joined a group on Ravelry called Granny a Day CAL, I joined a bit late but am having fun with it. I joined on April 28 and as of today I have 18 squares complete that puts me ahead by 4 squares, I only need to do 247 by the end of the year to have done 1 a day since joining the group. The square I am making is called Summer Garden and can be found at
Attic24
I think they look like little bright flowers

Those granny squares are going to look great when you finish 🙂

Thank you very much, I agree I think it will be pretty. I intend to use it on my spare room bed.

I love that round yellow hotpad! Do you know where I can get the pattern?

Peggy, thank you. I am sorry I do not know where the pattern came from and the round one is actually a pinwheel dishcloth and is knit not crochet. This is a similar pattern which I have made on a knitting loom http://www.knittingknonsense.com/lacyround.html

Thanks for the pattern. I’ll have to give it a try!

Your welcome!!! It was fairly easy.

Angel, it’s always such fun to come and see your blog! That Bunny Dishcloth set turned out so cool (I’m working on Brenda’s bunnies now) And the presents you received … Wow!

Love the squares … I am really starting to love little projects 🙂 And 247 more is not too daunting ROFLOL.

You have had such a hard few months, very glad to see you looming and enjoying yourself a bit.

Terry

Terry, thank you so much. I’m glad you enjoy my blog such as it is. I did receive some awesome gifts and very cheering to have the surprizes in the mail. Brenda’s patterns are always fun knits. That is one of the reason’s I like her patterns so much, they are usually quick knits and I like the instant gratification. Thats why I enjoy the hexipuffs and granny’s a complete little project in no time.
