Lotsa Looming

Posted on: August 4, 2011

I have been busy loom knitting all week! Over in Loom Class we are having a month of Kitchen Essentials and I completed a Loomed Oven Mitt, Pattern by Bethany Dailey from Gettin It Pegged and also by Bethany a Scrubby O. I used a Kiss Loom set on first setting + 5 washers and 2 strands of Bernat Cotton Tots yarn.

The oven mitt I made according to the pattern, but the scrubby I did a bit different. I did not use the netting along with the yarn and I made 2 of them and sewed them together with 2 layers of netting covering on side.

You can see the netting on the scrubby o. I also made a Tawashi. On the home page of the Knifty Knitter Group Brenda Myers had a photo of one she made from a pattern by Rhonda K White and I thought it was so cute I had to give it a try.

Fishy Tawashi

If I can get Rhonda’s permission I plan to write up my conversion to the loom and post it.

Also for the loom class I made a couple of Heart Scrubby’s by Lisa Sawyer

Angel, I’m getting ready to post loom knitted version of the fishy tawashi on Loom Lore. However, I think the one I made is probably made differently from yours, so it will interesting to see the difference in how we translated the needle patterns.

BTW – I love your primitive heart scrubbies!

I kinda of thought you would be posting it, it will be interesting to see the differences. Thanks the scrubbies were a fun quick knit.

Spectacualar job, Angela!!! But holy cow, slow down!! Your looms are smoking, LOL!!! Seriously, you have some great well done projects here. I am far far behind you;)
Hugs, LindaJ

We are swedish but have also lived in Brazil and USA. Almost every morning, year around, I go for a walk in the great outdoors, planning my day.
