Hi all, I hope everyone had a great Holiday weekend, I did lots of family, good food and good fun. The good kept on today delivered by the mailman. I got a box of new looms and parts from Kiss Looms and all of this was in it:

I am going to be having some looming fun testing these out. There is a new smaller gauge compact loom and a new fixed fine gauge that is between the sock loom and the compact loom. I think the fixed gauge is the one I will try first. All of the new looms and parts are available on the Kiss Loom Website.

Fixed 2 Fine Gauge Loom

Hi all its been awhile. I’ve been pretty busy with redecorating a bedroom. I finished it Thursday, just in time for my sister Helen to arrive on Wednesday from Texas. Photos can be found on my Sewing Room page. I painted it, made curtains for the window and closet, a cover for a filing cabinet and pillow shams. I made everything out of sheets that match the bedspread. I also crocheted a Ruffled Doily for the bedside table, I used a free pattern that I found at Antique Crochet Patterns

This is a butterfly from a pattern booklet called Wrought Iron Crochet that I purchased from Barnes and Noble Nook bookstore

I stiffened it with a sugar water solution. I am not real happy with the hangars they are the kind that stick to the wall but are removable. I tried nails first but than realized it is brick behind the drywall so that won’t work. I would like hangars that don’t show. Suggestions anyone?

I also loom knit curtain tiebacks, I put tassels on them and wrote up how I did them you can find the instructions on my pattern page.

I haven’t been doing much loom knitting lately, I can’t seem to get inspired. I am hoping to soon. KissLooms has added new looms to their line and they are fine gauge looms. I also need to come up with a pattern for the Kiss Loom party which is on August 27, It is held in the chat room on the Kiss website and is lots of fun there are prizes, games and a scavenger hunt this year. Feel free to join us To attend you need to be registered on the Kiss website. This has been a long post guess I better go get busy my Hubby’s birthday is tomorrow and on the 4th we are going to a barbque at my daughter Samantha’s inlaws to be house. My name is Yvonne. I have mostly been a homemaker for the last 25 years. With a husband and 5 kids (4 boys and 1 girl) my time has been a lot about food. 3 of the kids has moved out, the 2 youngest (18 and 20) still lives at home. We are swedish but have also lived in Brazil and USA. Almost every morning, year around, I go for a walk in the great outdoors, planning my day.
