I was browsing around the other day looking at stitches to make a baby blanket for my niece Sara, she is having a daughter in August in Texas so I don’t want the blanket to be too thick and heavy. I found this one at Knitting on the net it is called Little Shell

I apologize for the not very good picture, I can’t find my camera so I used my cell phone to take it.

The stitch is nice and lacey and very fast. For the blanket I will be using a KISS Compact Straight Loom with 90 pegs with Yarn Bee Little Britches yarn from Hobby Lobby. The colorway is Carousel and it is a weight 4 yarn.

I’ve posted the needle to loom conversion on my pattern page.

Hi all it’s been awhile since I’ve posted an update, the above photo is a Loomed Postcard taught by Vanessa Soto in Loom Class it was a very fun class and I really enjoyed it. I will definetely be making more of these little cards.  I haven’t been knitting much lately mostly I’ve been sewing.  I made these cute little pillowcase dresses for granddaughters Chloe and Molly

Chloe and Molly

purple skirt for Molly

pink and green skirt

I think they turned out pretty good, I kinda of made them up as I went along. I think I am going to write a tutorial for them, it will be my first sewing tutorial.

I made the above skirts for Molly for her 4th birthday, When she gets dressed in the morning anything but a dress or skirt is not pretty, so hopefully these will fit that requirement.

My name is Yvonne. I have mostly been a homemaker for the last 25 years. With a husband and 5 kids (4 boys and 1 girl) my time has been a lot about food. 3 of the kids has moved out, the 2 youngest (18 and 20) still lives at home. We are swedish but have also lived in Brazil and USA. Almost every morning, year around, I go for a walk in the great outdoors, planning my day.
